I make it my mission to teach and train with as many people as I possibly can. From world-class sambists through to traditional karate-ka, military combative pioneers to survivalists.
I love all aspects of martial arts. From combat sports to traditional and combatives. I still box and compete across the UK, and when I’m not doing that I’m:
I am a public speaker and creative director in the field of advertising. My job requires a well honed communication skill set which assist with teaching and soft skills.
Previously I was a teacher in Young Offender organisations and in PRUs (pupil referral units). This has given me a wealth of experience dealing with people who are volatile, violent and also vulnerable. And to be frank – it’s the verbal skills in those places that matter most.
These roles aren’t as exciting as being a former commando or tough street cop – but let’s be honest, those people often don’t need these skills. But you just might. My focus is on using tried and tested methodologies and putting them to work in a way that suits your needs, your environment, and your risk profile. And that approach me has allowed me to teach fantastic people and organisations around the world.
